The Story of Sinalco
For more than 100 years the taste of Sinalco has appealed to consumers all over the world. Originally established in the city of Detmold in the German federal state North Rhine-Westphalia and temporarily sold to Switzerland after its triumphal success around the globe, the traditional German brand has been part of the Hövelmann family since 1994.
Founded as a family enterprise, the Duisburg-based manufacturer of lemonades and mineral water products has evolved into a consolidated group of companies, ranking among the leading beverage logistics companies in Germany today. In 1997, the international trademark rights were acquired from the Hövelmann family, and Sinalco International GmbH & Co. KG was established.
Since then, we as franchisor grant partners in almost 50 countries all around the world the right to market the brand at a regional level. The development of high-quality and innovative drinks is as much part of our portfolio of services as is the development of an overall corporate concept that is implemented independently by our franchisees at their local sites. Although Sinalco is a global brand, we are still an organisation with regional roots. We supply our partners with the necessary formulations, raw materials, and essences and offer consulting services for all issues with a view to marketing and technological know-how.
In addition, we in Duisburg develop the renewed international brand image and are responsible for the uniform global brand identity and the Sinalco message. To ensure that the cult brand made in Germany will continue to stand for mouth-watering refreshment all over the world for the next one hundred years and more!
